Mary E. Pelkey

Amesbury – Mary E. Pelkey, 75, of Amesbury, formerly of Marlborough, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Maplewood Care & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born October 25, 1934 in Skowhegan, ME a daughter of the late Donald and Ora (Vigue) Boulette.

Mrs. Pelkey was employed as a hostess at the Marlborough Country Club for many years and made her home in that community for over 40 years where she was a communicant of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.  After her retirement she moved to Fort Myers, FL.  For the past four years and due to illness she made home in an assisted living facility in Salisbury and more recently in Amesbury.

Family members include her son, Michael E. Pelkey and wife Nancy of Newton, NH, her daughter, Laurie Sullivan and husband Richard of Raymond, NH, her sister, Marilyn Brown of Houston, TX, two grandchildren, Michelle Watson, Christopher Pelkey and two great grandchildren, Spencer Watson and Cohen Pelkey.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family.  If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, One Bedford Farms Drive, STE 105, Bedford, NH  03110.  Assistance with the arrangements was by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton, NH.
