An interest in U.S. history led to her membership in the North Hampton Historical Society, where she served eight years as president. Janet collected paperweights. One of her favorite activities was going out to eat, especially at one of her many favorite places.
She is survived by her brother, David R. Burnham and family of Ashburn, VA, her "Adopted Niece," Susan Smith of Blackstone, MA, her "Honorary Nephew," L. Michael Lindblom of  Manchester, NH, and her beloved cat, "Me Too."
Janet's later years, especially her last, were enhanced by close and supportive friends who became members of her "Extended Family," including but not limited to, Pat and Harold Simons of North Hampton, Judy and Bob St. Laurent of Brentwood, her Home Health Aid Maureen Lyons of Brentwood, her hairdresser Gina of Hampton, and Judy Joy of North Hampton.
