Throughout history, civilized society has marked special times in life with ceremony: baptisms, graduations, anniversaries and marriages are shared with those we love because this sharing brings joy and happiness to the celebration. Likewise when a life comes to an end, it is our instinct to share the loss with those we love, and with those who love us. A funeral or memorial service is a celebration of a life lived, especially when it reflects the unique life and personality of your loved one. It offers the time and place to gather, and grieve, and share.

A funeral director is a professional person you can rely on for caring guidance in arranging a meaningful service. Our purpose is to coordinate and manage all the arrangement details for you in such a way that all are brought together to provide a service which is meaningful, dignified and perfect in every regard.

We never turn away.

Families come to us for help when they need it most. Some numbed by their loss, some shattered, they say: “This is someone we loved. We entrust our loved one to you.”

And even when we are faced with the crumpled innocence of the youngest asking, “Why?” – and we have to find childlike words to answer a question even theologians struggle with – we never turn away.

What our funeral directors will do when a death occurs.

We believe that when a family selects Remick & Gendron to serve them, we have the responsibility to provide the best care possible. Care of the deceased is “A Sacred Trust”.

We attend to the transfer of the deceased into our care and we set a time that is convenient for the family to finalize all the necessary arrangements either at our facility or in the families home.

For the families who wish to have a visitation with viewing of the deceased Remick & Gendron maintains its own embalming staff. The only time we use other funeral homes is when a death occurs out of the area.
