Alice L. Alker

Hampton – Alice L. Alker, 82, of Hampton, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at home. She was born October 14, 1942 in Boston, MA a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Downey) Manning. She leaves behind her loving husband James W. Alker Jr.; sons, James W. Alker III and his wife Debbie, Richard Alker and his wife Julie, Dennis Alker and his ex-wife Paula and Steven Alker; daughter Barbara Brooks and her husband Kevin; sister Deborah Dorsey and her husband Kenny; a niece who was like a second daughter Helen Buckley and her husband John; grandchildren, Sharon, Holly, Dennis, Michael, Scot and Leah; great grandchildren, Sophia and Alex. She had so many people that loved and adored her, including a niece Tammy Thomas and goddaughter Kim Mycroft and Scott and Kristy Aversano and their children Tyler, Ashly and Lillian and many more nieces and nephews all of whom she was very close too. Alice was a wife and mother from day one right to the very end. Alice was a 3 times cancer survivor and lived with AFib and it never stopped her. It was always about her husband and kids. She would do anything for anybody, you never even had to ask her. She loved going to yard sales and her favorite store KOHLS. Over the years she loved doing ceramics with her husband and arts and crafts. The family would like to thank the hospice nurses and aides for the compassionate and loving care that our mother received during the last months of her life. The two nurses Donna and Deb went way beyond what could have possibly been expected. They truly will never be forgotten and our family will forever be grateful. Everyone that met Alice knew immediately that she was a very special person that loved being with family and enjoying life to its fullest. But God needed his angel back and wanted to stop her suffering and allow her to rest peacefully with her family that have previously passed. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, July 12, 2025 in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton. A celebration of life will be held from 2-8 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025 in the Richard A. Mitchell American Legion Post 51, Rt. 125 & Elm Street, Epping, NH 03042. The celebration of life will be potluck.
