Barbara Xavier Robbin-Fay

Hampton – Barbara X. (Hurley) Robbin-Fay, 79, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Barbara was born in Boston, MA on March 5, 1938, daughter of the late Daniel J. and Barbara A. (Greims) Hurley. She was raised in Newton and Medford, MA and graduated from Matignon High School of Cambridge, MA with the Class of 1956. She married Ernest J. B. (Ernie) Robbin and settled in Woburn to raise her family. In addition to being a loving and caring Mom, Barbara ran a top producing insurance agency for Mutual of Omaha. Barbara loved artistic roller skating, where she met Ernie and shared that love with her children. She was a national judge who helped to develop a judges training program used in the 1970s and 80s. She moved to Hampton in 1987 where she opened BX Robbin Associates. She retired when she married Thomas (Frank) Fay. Family was always top priority in Barbara’s life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Her love, constant smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Nancy LaBonte and her husband Robert of Hampton, John Robbin of Groveton, NH and Jim Robbin of Lowell, MA. She also leaves her sister, Joanne Crowe and her husband Jack of Tewksbury, MA, her grandchildren, Christopher LaBonte, Jennifer Butler, Kristin LeComte, Katherine and Jonathan Robbin, Timothy and Michael Mangan and Kimberly Petredis, her step grandchildren, Terri and Rob LaBonte and Joshua Fitzpatrick and her great grandchildren, Cole LaBonte and Lorelei Mangan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara “Terri” Mangan and her brother, Daniel J. Hurley. Visitation will be from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday February 25th in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday February 26th at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 289 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Burial will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
