Beverly A. Gavette

Hampton – Beverly A. Gavette, 87, of Hampton, NH and Venice, FL, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH. Beverly was born in Exeter, NH on March 25, 1938, to her parents Miriam Wainwright O’Brien and Leslie Burton O’Brien. Beverly was raised in Hampton, NH graduating from Winnacunnet High School, Hampton Beverly worked alongside her husband Richard C. Gavette, supporting their real estate business and lovingly caring for her home and family. Beverly took great pride in her gardening, thoughtfully maintaining beautiful flower beds at each of her properties with seasonal flowers and shrubs. She was a devoted animal lover, with a special fondness for her Scottish Terriers. Beverly became a skilled groomer, showing her Scotties with dedication and success, including finishing her dog Iris. She loved the beach, often spending quiet time on the rocks at Hampton Beach, NH, or walking the shores of Venice, FL, collecting shells and shark’s teeth. She also enjoyed boating on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH with her son, Todd and family. Beverly also enjoyed traveling, including sailing aboard the QE2 and visiting several countries. Visiting the Disney parks was a shared passion, she and her husband, Richard enjoyed together along with their family and friends. Beverly leaves her loving son, Todd C. Gavette of Hampton, NH, her daughter Nancy Gavette Scanlon of Newington, CT, Nancy’s former husband Charles M. Scanlon of Newington, CT, two granddaughters, Stephanie Scanlon and Kristin Scanlon, her husband Ben Pheonix of Newington, CT; three great grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha, and Joyanna; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hentz, of Southington, CT; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard C. Gavette. Family and friends may call from 10-11:30am Saturday January 10th, 2026, at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be immediately following at 11:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery, North Hampton, NH.
