Brenda Carol Conte

Hampton Falls- Brenda Carol Ann (Lambert) Conte passed to eternity while resting peacefully in her family home in Hampton Falls, NH, on 24 April, 2024 at 73 years of age. She was reunited with her dearest love and husband, Darryl Conte, five years and twelve days after his passing and just shy of their 55th wedding anniversary. Brenda enjoyed her final hours in this life surrounded by her children and grandchildren in the home where she and Darryl cultivated decades of love. Her spirit was released from its striving in a proper setting that befit her wishes. She was especially blessed to have had such singular attention (and grace) from her daughter and primary caregiver, Sarah, to help deliver this promise. Brenda was born to Ernest William “Bill” and Ann (Graham) Lambert in Portsmouth, VA, on 30 August, 1950. She graduated from Sanborn High School in 1968. In 1969, she married Darryl and settled in the NH Seacoast Region, where they raised their four children. Brenda’s greatest joy was her family. As a young mother, she worked tirelessly to fill her children’s basic needs and to prepare them for adulthood. She lived the virtues of love, hard work, sound judgement, mercy, and most importantly, unity in the home life. She treasured family excursions to be with Darryl when he was traveling for work, to camp with friends in the White Mountains and NH Lakes Region, or to celebrate Christmas at her parent’s home in Florida. Brenda loved being a grandmother, taking part in the joys and struggles of her grandchildren’s lives. She knew when to offer advice or a simple “I love you, baby.” Brenda’s resilience in the face of tragedy and prolonged illness was heroic and inspiring, a testament to her faith in God and her love of family. She gave every bit of her heart to us, exhorting us to stick together. In addition to her husband, Darryl, Brenda was predeceased by her parents and siblings Cheryl, Forrest Moreau “Moe,” and Cynthia. Brenda is survived by her children Darryl (Jennifer Perez) Conte Jr, of Hartford, NY, Aaron (Ann) Conte of Salisbury, MA, Christine (Chad) Arlington of Hampton, NH, and Sarah (Ethan Bickford) Conte of Hampton Falls, NH; grandchildren Laura, Caroline, Sarah and Mason Conte, and Emily and Leiland Arlington; sister, Sheila (Bob) Sargent of Candia, NH; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends; and her beloved companion dog Gepetto; all whom she loved very much.
