Dakotah Alyse Szymczycha

Hampton – Dakotah Alyse Szymczycha, 25 of Hampton NH passed away suddenly at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston as a result of a tragic car accident, January 26, 2025. Born in Newburyport MA, Dakotah was raised in Hampton Falls by her parents Wendy Pouliot and Alfred Szymczycha along with her brothers, Zackery and Cameron. Dakotah was educated at Lincoln Akerman and Winnacunnet High School graduating in 2017. Dakotah’s love for all things water, included boating, fishing, paddleboarding, surfing and growing up spending summers at their family camp on the lake in Maine. Dakotah (“Cotie” as she was called) could often be found as a kid trying to keep up with her brothers and “boy cousins” until she was finally graced with a girl cousin in 2011. As a young adult she attended the Spa Tech Institute in Andover MA for a certification in Esthetics. Dakotah’s loving heart and gracious soul spread wide in her short life touching so many people along the way. To forward a quote that was presented to her by a beloved teacher in an award ceremony: Shakespeare said, “a friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still gently allows you to grow.” You are this kind of friend. Your compassion for others and generous spirit are traits that mark the strength of your character. You appreciate your friends and understand the power of listening and the importance of loyalty. The impression you leave on the lives of those you’ve befriended is lasting and is an inspiration to others. Those who know you and those you have yet to meet are privileged to have you in their lives. Dakotah is survived by her parents, Alfred Szymczycha of Hampton Falls, and Wendy Pouliot and her husband Martin of Hampton. She is also survived by her brothers, Cameron Szymczycha and his partner Kristen of Rye; Zackery Szymczycha and his partner Sophie of Hampton Falls. Dakotah is also survived by her grandmother, Joanne Fournier of Hampton along so many amazing aunts, uncles, cousins and extended wonderful family. Dakotah was predeceased by her grandparents, Frederick Fournier, and Alfred and Norma Szymczycha. In keeping with the family wishes, services will be held privately.
