Dennis W. Montini

North Hampton – Dennis William Montini, 74, formerly of Rochester, NH and Baden, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 13, 2021. Dennis was born in Ambridge, PA on January 11, 1947, the son of the late Emilio and Lena (Temassi) Montini. Dennis was raised in Baden, PA and graduated from Rochester High School in 1965. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from St. Francis University of Loretto, PA in 1969 and went on to teach Algebra and Reading at Quigley High School. In 1974, while working at Rockingham County Trust, Salem, NH, Dennis met Joan Carol Miller, and they were married in 1979. The newlyweds settled in Rochester where they raised their family. Dennis was a 32nd degree Mason with the Rochester Humane Lodge No. 21. He was a member of the local Sons of Italy in America for several years. After working many years in sales management, Dennis retired from Advance America in 2009. He loved visiting flea markets and shopping at antique stores. To say he was a history buff and an avid coin collector would be an understatement. He was great friends with Dr. Terry Bennett of Rochester, also an avid collector, and enjoyed working in the doctor’s antiques business in his retirement years. Dennis will be remembered for his extraordinary sense of humor and his tremendous love for his family. In addition to his beloved wife Joan, Dennis is survived by his children Colleen Montini of Elk Grove, CA, Jennifer Messenger and her husband, Brian, of Chandler, AZ, Denise Montini of Lake Forest, CA, Michael Montini and his wife, Pamela, of Southern Pines, NC, Kimberley Reno and her husband, Alex, of North Hampton, and Christina Donlon and her husband, Tyler, of Rochester. He also leaves his sister, Sister Patricia Montini of Baden, PA, his 9 grandchildren, Keagan, Brant, Hailey, Hunter, Avery, Maximino, Haylie, Nicholas, and Arabella, 2 great grandchildren, Kalin and Millicent, and several nieces and nephews. Due to the pandemic, all services will be private. The Funeral Mass may be viewed live by visiting the St. Michael Parish Website at 1 PM on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
