Donna Marie Smith

North Hampton – Donna Marie Smith, 69, of North Hampton, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at her home with loving family by her side. She was born in Kittery, Maine on October 24, 1951. Donna was raised in North Hampton and graduated from Winnacunnet High School with the Class of 1970 and later from Newbury College in Boston, MA. For the past eight years Donna fulfilled her dream as the owner and founder of Organizing the Details, LLC a virtual business helping entrepreneurs manage their business. Prior to this she held a number of positions including office manager, human resources liaison and bus driver. Donna’s most important role was as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend. While raising her family she was passionately involved in a variety of activities that included the PTO, Girl Scouts and teaching CCD. Donna enjoyed the local seacoast business community participating in BNI and the Hampton and Exeter Chambers of Commerce. She spent her last years back in North Hampton enjoying her love for the beautiful sun rises at Hampton beach. She leaves her son Gregory Smith of Lewiston, ME; her daughter Pamela Starkey and her husband Nicholas with their three children Douglass, Kate and Owen of South Berwick, ME; her son Marc Smith and his wife Melissa Sicco of Ludlow, VT; her siblings, Michael Paquette and his wife Sunny of Seabrook, NH; Joseph Paquette and his wife Moreen of Cape Coral, FL; Steven Paquette of Hampton Beach, NH; Lynda Despard and her husband Dan of Whitefield, ME; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence P. Smith and her mother Jean M. (Bousquet) Paquette. Visiting hours will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Friday, April 9, 2021 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery, North Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of traditional remembrances, donations may be made to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
