Newington - Francis Allen Frank, born February 21,1959, peacefully left this earth on July 2, 2026 surrounded by family and loved ones. Francis “Fran” was a devoted husband, a loving father, and the best cat dad anyone could ask for. He was a loyal friend who cherished the time he spent with those he loved. He was a kind and caring person with a generosity and selflessness that touched everyone who knew him. Fran had a love for classic Western movies, The Three Stooges, Tom and Jerry, and Looney Tunes. You could often find Fran relaxing with a bowl of popcorn and a box of Junior Mints while enjoying these timeless favorites with his wife, Carla. One of the greatest gifts Fran gave his son, Aaron, was his love of music. Their time together was filled watching concert DVDs, attending shows at local venues, and talking for hours about songs, bands, and the instruments they loved. More than just a shared hobby, these were memories that strengthened their bond and created a lifelong passion. Because of his Dad, Aaron lives with the same love of music that will forever be a part of who he is; every concert, every song, and every note further will carry a piece of his Father and what they shared. Some of the best moments were shared around the dining room table at his mom's house, especially on macaroni night. It wasn't just about the food, it was about being together, sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. Family meant everything to him, and he loved those simple moments. His smile and his presence will be deeply missed, and time around the table will never be quite the same without him there. Fran looked forward to spending garage nights laughing, reliving old times, playing darts, cooking on the grill, and standing by the fence drinking a beer with his best buddies. On these nights, what will be missed most is his one of a kind sense of humor; he had a quick wit, or a funny joke at the ready for any given chance. He was a part of, and created a loving family, many friendships, and countless memories with those who knew him best. He is survived by his wife, Carla; his son, Aaron, and Aaron’s partner Tesa; his mother, Shirley; his sister, Linda, and her husband, Coz; along with extended family members and dear friends. Francis will be deeply missed, but will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he was a part of. But, Fran wouldn’t want you to be sad, he would want you to celebrate the full life that he lived. So, crack a beer, and a smile for Fran. Please join the family on July 18, 2026 at the Newington Town Hall from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for a Celebration of Fran’s Life. Casual attire, Hawaiian shirts or Tye Dye shirts encouraged.
