Isabel Morgado

Hampton Falls - Isabel Morgado, 73, of Hampton Falls NH passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, August 15, 2025 in her home surrounded by loving family. Isabel was born in a small town called Furnas, located in Portugal's Azores islands on November 30, 1951 to the late John and Maria Lima. Growing up as the oldest of 4 sisters in a family of 7, Isabel was taught from a young age to take care of her family. She attended grade school in Sao Miguel and spent her after school hours learning from her mother how to cook and embroider. In July of 1966 John and Maria packed up their most valued belongings and moved the family to the United States. They landed in New Bedford, Massachusetts as did many other Portuguese families during this period. After attending bilingual school for a short period of time Isabel took up a job manufacturing electronics in a factory. At around the age of 19, Isabel met her husband, Antonio Morgado. They were quickly married and soon had their first child, Elizabeth. They eventually moved to the seacoast of New Hampshire where they would make their home and business. Soon after, their second child Tony was born. After saving and working tirelessly for years, they eventually purchased property on Lafayette Rd in Hampton Falls where they built a small nursery business. While her husband ran a paving and masonry business during the day, Isabel ran the nursery. She raised two children while simultaneously being the backbone of two successful businesses. At the end of the day Isabel would cook for the employees, at times more than. To say she was a hard worker would be an understatement. In her older years Isabel enjoyed cooking and caring for her grandchildren. We were blessed to have her house to go to every night after work, and could always count on her to not let us leave without bringing home leftovers. When we were young, we always knew that our Vavoa would do anything and everything for us, and she always did. Isabel's life was marked with hard work and perseverance. She worked hard as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She always went above and beyond when it came to her family. She will be forever missed, and forever in our hearts. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Isabel for a period of visitation on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. Burial to follow and Isabel will be laid to rest beside her husband at Hillside Cemetery, 66 Lafayette Road, Seabrook, NH 03874.
