Janet F. Chamberlain

Brentwood – Janet F. Chamberlain, 70, of Brentwood and formerly of Conway, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was born on July 8, 1954, in Boston, MA, the only child of the late Morris and Rita (Pollini) Johnson. She shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Wayne P. Chamberlain, until his passing in 2023. Janet grew up in Revere and graduated from Revere High School with the Class of 1973. While Wayne was serving in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard an icebreaker in the Antarctic, he mailed her an engagement ring—a testament to their love and devotion. When he returned home, they married and settled in Revere to raise their son. Throughout her career, Janet worked in various clerical roles, including as a switchboard operator and in various medical offices. In 2002, she and Wayne fulfilled their dream of moving to Conway, NH, to be near the Saco River. When her health began to decline due to MS, she moved to the Rockingham County Nursing Home, and Wayne relocated to Seabrook to stay close to her. Janet had a passion for sewing and needlepoint, with an entire craft room dedicated to her hobby. She had a love for music, especially hard rock bands like Metallica and Megadeth, and enjoyed cheering on the Red Sox in her younger years. Some of her favorite moments were spent with her granddaughter Kylie, doing makeup, hair, and nails together. She also had a deep love for Italian food, making an unforgettable eggplant parmesan, and was a devoted cat lover, cherishing many feline companions over the years. Janet will be remembered for her loving and supportive nature, always putting family first. She is survived by her son, Mike Chamberlain, and his wife, Deven, of Seabrook, as well as her beloved granddaughter, Kylie. A memorial service to honor both Janet and Wayne will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 in the First Congregational Church, 127 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton. A reception will follow at 12PM in the Community Oven, 845 Lafayette Road, Hampton.
