Joan Marie Tomaino

Seabrook - Joan M. Tomaino, age 90 and long-time resident of Seabrook, went to heaven on Friday, February 16, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony R. Tomaino. Born on January 5, 1934, in Cambridge, MA, Joan was the daughter of the late Carleton and Dorothy F. (Bishop) Kennie. Throughout the years, while raising her family, Joan worked for Daggett’s candy company, Hood rubber company and also as an electronic technician at Midland and Ross, formerly Cambion in Cambridge for many years. She was a member of New England Christian Church of Salisbury mass for 26 years. She loved animals of all kinds and was an avid supporter of Saint Jude's Childrens hospital and the NHSPCA in Stratham NH. Joan enjoyed crochet, trout fishing and living life to the fullest. She wrestled alligators in Florida and once flew in a plane through a barn upside down. She was an avid movie buff and a wonderful artist. Above all, Joan’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and true friend and she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was love personified with undeniable grace and she died with her boots on Joan is survived by her daughters, Diane M. Arsenault of Windham, Linda M. Sarette and her husband Douglas of Sanbornton, Robin Tomaino of Seabrook, and Lisa Gaudet of Seabrook. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, as well as her niece and her 4 nephews.. In addition to her parents, Joan is predeceased by her husband Anthony R. Tomaino, and her sister, Carlene White. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Joan for a funeral service on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the New England Christian Church, 249 Lafayette Road, Salisbury, MA 01952. Joan will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Spring of 2024 at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen.
