Kenneth Joseph Doyle Jr.

Hampton - Kenneth Joseph Doyle Jr., 77, passed away peacefully at home in Hampton Beach on the morning of March 31, 2026. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, Kenny was raised in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1967. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, carrying that strength and resilience with him throughout his life. Kenny’s greatest joy, without question, was his family. He became a father to his daughter Kristine with his first wife, Virginia, and later welcomed three more children—Michaela, Kenneth III, and Emma—with his second wife, Coleen. His children were the center of his world and a constant source of pride, laughter, and love. He spent much of his career working as a stage crew member in theater and film, contributing to iconic productions filmed throughout New England, including Good Will Hunting, Mystic River, and Jumanji (1995). In retirement, Kenny embraced life’s simple pleasures: he loved his house and neighbors on Boar’s Head, long days at the beach, the thrill of antiquing, and good conversation. He had a remarkable gift for turning strangers into friends, if you stopped to chat, you were likely to walk away with a story, a laugh, and the feeling that you’d known him for years. Kenny had a deep love of family history and genealogy, which led him to discover not only his roots but an ever-growing circle of “relative friends” he cherished dearly. He is survived by his four children, Kristine Kaveney and her husband Greg, Michaela Doyle, Kenneth Doyle, and Emma Doyle; his three grandchildren, Kaylee Kaveney, Jake Kaveney, and Braylin Kaveney; his sisters, Kathy, Anne, and Mary; and his brother, Stephen. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Anne, and his younger brother John, whom he loved so dearly. He was deeply appreciative of the compassionate care he received from the dedicated team at the VA, the wonderful providers at Fresenius in Portsmouth, and Liz, who cared for him at home. Kenny will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his quick wit, and his endless supply of hilarious stories—often told with perfect timing and just enough embellishment to keep everyone laughing. He was truly one of a kind. To know him was to love him. He will be forever missed, forever remembered, and forever loved. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ken for a period of visitation on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day on April 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. Burial will take place on Thursday at 10:00 and Ken will be laid to rest with Army military Honors at the High Street Cemetery in Hampton.
