Madelon G. Volta

Hampton – Madelon “Lonnie” Volta (Warnock - Boireau), 92, of Hampton, died peacefully on June 18, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years Ernest “Bud” Volta and her former husband Steve Boireau. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Warnock. Lonnie was also predeceased by her brothers William Warnock and Kenneth Warnock. Lonnie’s years in Bedford in the 50’s 60’s & 70’s involved raising her children Michelle (Mickey) and Glenn while working at the old Yankee Lanes Bowling Alley and then later at the High school in the main office. Michelle later raised her children Kevin Jr and Shay in Bedford. Lonnie and Bud met while they were both employed with John Hancock Insurance Agency in Boston and together enjoyed their combined families over many holidays and family events while living in Brockton. Together they also had many wonderful travel adventures. Lonnie had a great sense of humor and loved reading, and as we all know had a very strong love for all dogs. Lonnie was the loving mother of Michelle Boireau of Hampton,NH, Glenn Boireau and his wife Penny of Stephens City,Virginia, Thomas Volta and his wife Kathy of FL, Michelle Connor and her husband Brian of Brockton, MA, Denise Hines and her husband Phillip of Billerica, MA, Patricia Minichiello of Brockton, MA, Michael Volta of Brockton, MA. She was the grandmother of Kevin Duris Jr. of RI, Shay Lavery of NH, Eric Boireau of NC, Jonathan and Danielle Volta, Timothy, Amy and Samantha Connor, Mathew and Gregory Minichiello. Lonnie was the great grandmother of Brenden Lavery Jr, Jake Lavery, Charlie Lavery and George Boireau and the great great grandmother of Jamie Lavery. She also was loved by all her nieces and nephews. and their families. Per Lonnie’s request she wanted a get together only of family and friends which will be determined at a later date in the near future. Lonnie’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to all the staff that loved and cared for her at the Edgewood Center in Portsmouth, NH for the past two years, she loved you all. In lieu of flowers, any donation may be made in her memory to the New Hampshire SPCA, P.O. Box 196 Stratham, NH 03885, would be the most fitting tribute as we all know how she loved animals.
