Hampton – Marc J. Greenhalgh, 51, of Hampton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on February 24, 2026. Born August 4, 1974 in Boston, MA he was the beloved son of Joanne (Tierney) Greenhalgh of Hampton and James Greenhalgh of Franklin, MA. Raised in Franklin, MA he graduated from Franklin High School with the Class of ‘92. He went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Framingham State University and his MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. After graduation he worked in restaurant management for many years before moving on to his current career as Regional VP at Beacon Communities LLC. Marc’s many passions reflected his creativity and vibrant spirit. He found great joy in spending time with family and friends, caring for animals, traveling, and immersing himself in the communities and hobbies he loved. He was deeply involved in the Society for Creative Anachronism, where he shared his love of history, craftsmanship, and camaraderie. Marc had a lifelong appreciation for metal music, art, horror films, and comic books, passions that fueled both his imagination and his sense of humor and connection with others. He was also endlessly fascinated by Bigfoot, eagerly following sightings and legends and setting out on his own Bigfoot hunting adventures with a grin and a flashlight in hand. While he had many passions in life, none compared to the love he held for his family. He was a dependable presence to all who were blessed to call him family. He loved abundantly and wholeheartedly, always offering encouragement, laughter, and comfort. Being with his family was where he felt most at home, and his legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of those he held so close. The happiest you would see him was when he was surrounded by them, making them laugh. He is survived by his devoted wife of 10 years, Lynn (Maguire) Greenhalgh of Hampton, whom he loved deeply and shared countless memories with. As well as his children, Colby Carter of Tilton, NH, Bridget Damphousse and her husband Spencer of Hampton, Aiden Greenhalgh of Amherst, NH, Nicole Willette of Hampton, and Brenna Greenhalgh of Amherst, NH. He is further remembered by his siblings, Joy MacNeil and her husband Paul of Hampton, Michael Greenhalgh of Rutland, MA, and Brian, Kim, and Tom Greenhalgh of Franklin, MA, along with his beloved nephews and niece, Sean, Liam, Tiernan, Quinn, Natalie, and James. Visitation will be held from 1–2 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. A brief service will immediately follow at 2 pm and will continue until 3 pm. During this time, family and friends are welcome to share any memories or remarks.
