Mary Lou Marston

North Hampton - Mary Lou Marston, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother went home to Jesus on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at age of 77. Mary Lou was born on December 16, 1943, to the late Santo & Maria Guerrera, Italian immigrants who settled in Lawrence, MA. She attended St. Mary's High School and graduated in 1961. In 1965, she met her late husband, Paul Stewart Marston, they wed in 1966 and settled in North Hampton, going on to have two children, Curtis Anthony Marston and Paul Joseph Marston. Mary Lou had a passion for her Sicilian Heritage, the people she met, and most especially, her family. Growing up in Lawrence, she loved the Italian Feast of the Three Saints at Holy Rosary Church. For Mary Lou, her family was everything. She cared deeply for all her relatives and never missed a birthday or special event (Mangia! Mangia!) and if she could not make it there in person, one was sure to receive a special message in the mail. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and couldn't get enough of them. She loved hosting holiday events at her home and her precious Fish House. Christmas time was always special at Mary Lou's house as she enjoyed hosting relatives and friends. Owning and managing Abercrombie & Finch from 1983-2008 was a highlight of her life. She made special friends through her time at the restaurant, from fellow workers to wonderful customers, she cared deeply for them all. These special friendships followed Mary Lou for the rest of her life. Although not an avid golfer, she was a long-time member of Abenaqui Country Club where she enjoyed meals, events, and time with friends. She was also a member of St. Theresa's Parish. Her warm welcoming smile, caring cards, timely phone calls, and generous nature will be sorely missed by family and friends. She was a cheery soul to so many. Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Paul S Marston; her parents and by her brother Joseph Guerrera, and sisters, Angelina Ardito, Josephine Nicolo, and Rita (Guerrera) Musimeci. She is survived by her two sons, Curtis A. Marston and his partner Wendy Souther and family (Shawn, Aleigh & Lexi) of Greenland and Paul J. Marston and his wife Yvonne (Commenator) of Rye and grandchildren, Charlotte Grace and Paul Joseph Marston Jr. Also survived by nephews and nieces: niece, Kay (Nicolo) and husband Peter Gorbach and their daughter Lia of Marblehead, MA; niece, Mary (Nicolo) and husband Barry Hurwitz of South Dartmouth, MA; nephew, Frank Nicolo of Northborough, MA and his daughter Danielle and sons Michael & Andrew; niece, Mary Ann (Ardito) and husband Rob Costanzo of Bellingham, MA and their sons Bobby, Vinny and Joseph & wife and grandchild; nephew, Anthony Ardito of Reading, MA, and his son Alex; niece, Rose (Ardito) and her husband Stephen Emery of Wilmington, MA as well as their sons, Stephen & Michael & their wives, and grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at St. Theresa Church, 815 Central Road, Rye Beach, NH 03871. Burial will follow at the Center Cemetery, North Hampton.
