Maureen Therese Carolan

Seabrook – Maureen Therese Carolan, 59, of Seabrook, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 13, 1965, in Chelsea, MA, to the late Francis and Dorothea (Dolan) Carolan. Maureen was raised in Chelsea, MA, and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1984. She began her career as a secretary at Mass General Hospital, where she worked for many years, and later found her passion in hairdressing working at a salon in Chelsea Square. In the early 2000s, she relocated to New Hampshire with her children to escape the city. In the 2010s, Maureen studied communications at Southern New Hampshire University. A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to raising her three children and creating a warm and loving home for them and many of their friends throughout the years. Maureen had a vibrant personality and sense of humor, she was known for her strong will and straightforward nature, always unafraid to speak her mind. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, working magic on the hair of her friends and family, loved classic rock such as favorite artists Queen and AC/DC, was an avid reader who enjoyed horror and mystery novels, as well as playing games such as solitaire and mahjong. Her creativity shone through in her love of arts and crafts, particularly painting, drawing, and doodling. Maureen had a deep love for animals and animal rescue, especially her beloved rescue chihuahua mix, Howie, who was her faithful companion. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Alyssa Walsh and her husband Adam of New Ipswich, NH; Karlee Paradis of Seabrook, NH; and Kevin Paradis of Portland, ME. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Dolan, Emmett, and Gage; her siblings, Margaret Carolan-Bolognese, Frank Carolan, and Paul Carolan; her best friend Dawn Landsman; her best dog friend, Howie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Francis and Dorothea Carolan, and her older brother John Carolan. Maureen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
