Patricia Ann Cutshall

North Hampton - Patricia Ann Cutshall, 86, of North Hampton, died on Monday, February 7, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on December 20, 1935 in Cleveland, OH to Joseph and Stella (Trojansky) Bobincheck, Pat was the first in her family to attend college, graduating from Bowling Green University in 1958 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech & Hearing Therapy. She enjoyed using her training to help children as the first speech therapist in Rockingham County. During her college summers working at Lake George, NY, Pat met the love of her life and best friend, Harlan G. Cutshall. Pat and Harlan married on June 4, 1958, and their 63 years of marriage have been an inspiration to all who knew them. Pat will be deeply missed by her four adoring children - Cynthia Lenehan and husband Kevin of North Charleston, SC, Christopher Cutshall of Portland, ME, Katy Cutshall and husband Mauricio Vivado of Bedford, NH, and Mary Beth Cutshall of Atlanta, GA. Her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren were cherished and brought her much joy. Pat also had many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Judy Ruggie. Pat was a phenomenal friend. As an inquisitive, lifelong learner and active participant in her community, Pat easily developed dear friendships through her many pursuits. Her generous spirit, confidence, and enthusiasm made all around her feel special and cared for. Pat had a love for fine art and was a past President and long-time member of the Rye Arts Study Group. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed combining her passion for books and conversations with good friends through Shakespeare Readers and The Perfectimundo Book Club. Dance played a role throughout Pat’s life, from dancing with the Cleveland Civic Ballet in her teens to taking Zumba classes into her 80s. Always looking to help others, Pat served on the boards of many local non-profits and spent her later years as a volunteer driver for TASC, assisting those who could no longer drive themselves. Pat showed her love to her family through so many avenues. Her family will miss her regular phone calls, newspaper clippings, and stuffed cabbage. Pat found beauty everywhere and in everyone around her and, in turn, effortlessly made everything more beautiful through her style, grace, and kindness. Those winning traits created both relaxed and rich gatherings for family and friends. Always approaching life with positivity, Pat found pleasure in so much in everyday life, both big and small, including gardening, decades of tennis with good friends, vibrant color, word games, leftover cake for breakfast, doughnuts, trips in her string of convertibles to Lago’s for ice cream, print newspapers, and the Red Sox and Celtics. Pat’s optimism and strength will be forever missed. With Pat as a role model, loved ones will continue to aspire to her zest for life by living their own lives to the fullest. A Celebration of Life will take place in warmer weather. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Gather, the Seacoast food pantry, at 210 West Rd #3, Portsmouth, NH 03801.
