Robert Scott Malone

Nokomis, FL- Robert Scott Malone of Nokomis, Florida passed away on September 1, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Scott was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on August 14, 1952, to John Robert Malone and Patricia Nelson Frink Malone. As a child, Scott lived in Topsfield, Massachusetts; Arcadia, California; Hamilton, Massachusetts; and finally settled in Greenland, New Hampshire. Scott attended Hamilton Wenham Regional High School and graduated from Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and also received a Master of Business Administration. He spent his management career in the warehousing industry. Scott and his wife Allyson lived in Newfields, New Hampshire for many years before relocating to Florida. Scott was a passionate golfer. He was the captain of the University of New Hampshire golf team during his junior and senior years, and he was a member of Portsmouth Country Club for over sixty years. Scott also loved to travel, and he and Allyson enjoyed their many adventures in the United States and around the world. Scott’s biggest point of pride was each of his two sons, whom he regarded as the most important of his life’s accomplishments. To say that Scott was an optimist is an understatement. He consistently looked at life through a positive lens. Without exception, he saw the glass as half-full. Scott truly embodied positivity and rose each day happy, content, and smiling, and he remained this way every single day, even in the face of a dire diagnosis. Never once did Scott complain about his illness. When asked by others how he was feeling he would always say “I feel great!”. Scott leaves this world a better place, through his kindness, compassion and positivity. Scott is survived by his beloved wife Allyson, his sons Kyle and Corey, and his brother Jeffrey.
