Hampton - Roberta Lee Giese (Miller) “Bobbi” beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 4, 2025, at the age of 83. Bobbi faced her illness with extraordinary strength, grace, and her signature sense of humor that did not waver. Born on April 17, 1942, in Rockford, Illinois, Bobbi was the cherished daughter of Robert and Mary Miller (Tassoni) and big sister to her brother Jeffrey Miller. Bobbi was the devoted wife to Bob, just 2 weeks shy of 62 years. Bobbi was introduced to Bob, a young Air Force flier who had flown in from his base in California to visit his parents in Rockford in October 1961. Bobbi and Bob were married on October 19, 1963, after a 2 year, 2300 mile long distance courtship. Together, they built a family grounded in love and resilience. As an Air Force officer’s wife, she became an expert at packing and moving as they made many moves during Bob’s 23 years in the Air Force. Bobbi was a proud and loving mother to Rob and Carrie and was thrilled to welcome her daughter-in-law Erin (O’Brien) Giese to the family. Her joy only grew with the arrival of her grandchildren, Maddy (Giese) Farens and Jack Giese, and her great grandson, Cade Farens, all of whom brought her immeasurable pride and happiness. Bobbi’s children, grandchildren and great grandson were her proudest accomplishments. One of Bobbi’s most cherished memories with her family was her trip to Bellagio, Italy to attend her Granddaughter Madeline’s wedding. She radiated pure joy and insisted on greeting the guests at breakfast even while staying until the party ended each night. A lifelong athlete with a passion for competition and camaraderie, Bobbi loved playing softball, tennis and golf that brought her joy and lifelong friendships. She enjoyed playing in a golf league and going on golfing trips with the golfing girls. Bobbi loved making dessert for the UMPL group for the many gatherings. She brought that same energy and spirit to her family life. Bobbi’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched with her strength, warmth and Zest for life. Bobbie made a new friend everywhere she went! Along with her husband Bob, Bobbi will be greatly missed by her son Rob Giese and his wife Erin (O'Brien) Giese, her daughter Carrie Giese, her granddaughter Madeline (Giese) Farens and her husband Chris Farens, her grandson Jack Giese and his fiancé Catherine Barry, her sister-in-law Sharon Risser (Giese) and her husband Dr Chris Risser and their children, her cousin Jack Miller and his wife Myrna Miller and her aunt Bea Iwig (Tassoni). Bobbi was predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary Miller (Tassoni), her brother Jeff Miller and her aunt Gertrude E Miller. A visitation to celebrate Bobbi's life will be held at Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, Hampton, NH on November 4th from 5pm - 7pm. Mass will be at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, Hampton, NH at 11am on November 5th. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Farber's Jimmy Fund in Boston.
