Shawn M. Simons

Hampton - Shawn M. Simons passed in peace, May 1st, 2015 at the early age of 32. He was born on August 11th, 1982 in Portsmouth. Shawn was truly a one of a kind. To know him was to love him. He would light up any room he walked into with his infections smile and contagious laugh. He cared immensely about solving the problems of others before solving his own; he talked endlessly with family and friends trying to work through their hardships. He was a great listener and always put others first. Shawn appreciated all types of music, there wasn't a song he couldn't sing or a moment he has not captured on his camera. His charismatic personality was evident in the amount of friendships he harbored. What you may not know about Shawn is how much he loved watching documentaries, reading biographies, history, traveling and had a zest for acquiring new knowledge. Shawn will be greatly missed. He leaves his beloved father, Michael; loving mother; Carol, siblings Michelle, Crystal and Jesse; nephews, Cameron Macdonald, David Roberts Jr.; niece Melia Roberts; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton to celebrate Shawn's life.
