Stasia G. Boyden

Stratham, NH – Stasia G. Boyden, 90, of Stratham, formerly of Greenfield, Mass., died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home with her daughter by her side. She was born September 21, 1926 in Sunderland, Mass., a daughter of the late Szczepan and Stefania (Mazur) Krol. She was raised in Sunderland, Mass., and graduated from Amherst High School in Amherst, Mass. During WW II she helped the war effort working at the Springfield Armory in Springfield, Mass. She served as the executive secretary at TRW Greenfield Tap & Die Company for 30 years retiring in 1988. Stasia was a former communicant of Holy Name of Jesus Church in South Deerfield, Mass. where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir for many years. After moving to the seacoast after her retirement she worked part time at the former Poore Simons store in Portsmouth. She was an excellent cook of American, Italian and Polish foods and enjoyed sharing her creations. She leaves her daughter, Cynthia Silva and her husband Francis of Stratham, a grandson, Francis A. Silva of Gloucester, Mass., her great granddaughter, Isabella Silva of Chicopee, Mass., her brother, Alfred Krol and his wife Christine of Longmeadow, Mass., Edwin Krol and his wife Sylvia of Chicopee, Mass., her sisters, Mary Blanchard and Stella Deleo both of Athol, Mass., very special friends Donna and Tom Dollen, Gina O’Brien, Roger and Duffy Duford, her faithful canine companion Jesse and many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful and strong lady who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her very special grandson, Michael D. Seager, her brother, Thaddeus Krol, brothers-in-law Leo Blanchard and Stanley Deleo as well as her sister-in-law Steffie Krol. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish Church, 15 Thayer Street, South Deerfield, Mass. 01373. Burial will be in Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery, Deerfield, Mass. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family suggests donations to Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Assistance with the arrangements was by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton.
