Sue Palmer Ingram

North Hampton- On Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, Sue Palmer Ingram, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at her home in North Hampton, New Hampshire following a long, defiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Sue’s lasting impact on those she loved and everyone with whom she came into contact is one marked by humility, patience, loyalty, positivity, humor, and the notion that love is unconditional and persists, always. Born in Vestal, New York on October 25th, 1955 to Donald and Jane Palmer, Sue quickly returned with the family to North Hampton, settling in what has become the family homestead. Sue attended St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire where she was among the first girls to attend the school. It proved to be one of the most impactful periods of her life. She established herself both as a student and a three sport athlete. St. Paul's gave her life-long best friends and a true sense of belonging that set the foundation for everything that followed. After an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Masters of Science degree from Boston University, Sue pursued her gift for craftsmanship and an entrepreneurial spirit to establish The Village Workroom. Her expertise, precision, and attention to detail led to a reputation for producing masterpiece window treatments throughout the Northeast and beyond. Sue lived at the center of a house full of family and friends. Those moments were among the most important things in her life. She was an avid reader, green-thumb gardener both in her own yard and the town’s public gardens, and was an ever-curious traveler and adventurer. She filled her days with the things she loved and was endlessly dedicated to serving others. She is survived by her husband and rock Richard; her children, Colin and his wife Sarah, Tyler and former daughter-in-law Allison; her three grandchildren whom she adored, Cameron, Luke, and Calvin; and her siblings Donna Johnson and her husband David, and Doug Palmer and his wife Lori; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless close friends. Her life-long relationship with the Episcopal Church was at the core of her life. Sue served through Altar Guild leadership both in New Hampshire and nationally, Diocesan work, her loving presence in the Oasis women’s group, and her humble dedication to God. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 15, 2026 at Christ Episcopal Church in Exeter, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the New Hampshire Food Bank or the Rector’s Discretionary Fund at Christ Church, Exeter
