Susan M. Hale

Fremont - Susan Maureen Hale,72, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at home in the comfort of her husband’s loving embrace after a long fight against an ongoing illness. Susan was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 19, 1948 and lived in that area with her family for a while before moving to Hampton where she met her husband and love of her life, Frank O. Hale. Susan and Frank loved entertaining friends and family on weekends and holidays. They also enjoyed dancing and going for long Sunday rides to the mountains, looking for moose or shopping. They had many pets over the years and she adored them all. Susan had several jobs over the years including part owner of an antique shop in Portsmouth and although the store didn’t succeed, she enjoyed every second of it. Susan met many people along her journey in life and had many friends, but her closest were Lynn and Cheri, both who sadly passed in years prior and she missed them dearly. Susan was the most caring woman. She would give a stranger the shirt off her back, risk her life and pick up people walking in the rain or help those less fortunate, never expecting anything in return. She was famous for complimenting people on their appearance and clothing and never hesitated on letting people know how great they looked, even perfect strangers passing by in a store. A surprise in Susan’s life happened in February of 1986, her granddaughter Katie was born. Katie was the apple of her Nana’s eye and they were inseparable and partners in crime. Susan would do anything for that girl; she gave her everything and they had a bond like no other. Along came Katie’s “sister from another mother”, Tasha, and bam, Susan had two granddaughters and it was the three of them against the world. Susan also has a grandson, Kevin Jr, lovingly known as “Baby Kevin,” whom she loved greatly and would talk about all the time. Susan was part of a big family with many aunts, uncles and cousins and adored them all. She loved her sisters’ children and their children too, and when she was able, she would watch her great nephew Chase. In addition to her loving husband Frank, Susan is survived by her son Kevin Hale and his wife Tammy, her daughter Karen Snopek and her husband Kevin, the other loves her life, her granddaughters Katie Hale and Natasha Tinsley and her grandson Kevin Hale, Jr. She also leaves her father James Moore and her sister Jamie Poirier and her husband Rene and their children. Susan was predeceased by her mom, Marie ‘Teddie’ Moore. Susan was an extraordinary woman who always put a smile on your face and gave you a warmth in your heart. She made everyone feel special. She was an amazing mother and person and will be missed terribly. Remember to always tell your people in your life how much you love them they can never hear it enough. Services will be private.
