Anne E. Tierney Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anne Elizabeth Tierney passed away at home in Hampton, NH on June 2, 2019. Anne was born to Clementine H. Tierney, MD and John L. Tierney, Esq. in Arlington, VA. She was the baby in the family, predeceased by her two brothers, Philip and Robert Tierney. Anne grew up in Arlington and as a young adult she traveled around with her friends to see California, The Doors shows, and to protests to help advance equal rights. She attended Northern Virginia Community College for a year before meeting and marrying Robert W. Konze and moving with him to New Hampshire, where she took classes at New England College towards a Sociology degree. Anne gave birth to two children, at home, like a bad ass. She had such a generous heart she sacrificed all her happiness for her children.* Anne worked a variety of jobs while raising kids, she favored places that do good, like the SPCA and Community Action. She was well liked at work, where she made friends easily, and that was where she met her youngest son Jordan’s father, who was born during their 10 year relationship, when she was 42. Anne will always be remembered for her generosity, her great sense of humor, her love of animals, and her care for the environment and social equity causes. She is survived by her daughter Maggie, her son Jordan Gonzalez, and his daughter Avery. Anne’s private burial took place at Blossom Hill Cemetery in the Konze Family plot. *Parents, don’t do this. Don’t give up ALL your happiness trying to keep your kids happy. It won’t make them happy to see you unhappy, and it will leave them with guilt they did not ask for. Kids will demand everything of you, it’s up to you as the adult to create healthy boundaries.
