Hampton – Brenda M. Dugan, 75, of Hampton, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at her home after a period of failing health. She was born in Albany, NY May 24, 1940 the daughter of the late Alexander T. and Helen T. (Carpinello) Aswad. She graduated from Columbia High School in East Greenbush, NY with the Class of 1957 and received her Bachelor degree in 1961 from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. She later earned her Master’s degree in Guidance from Framingham State College in Framingham, Mass. Brenda was a teacher at St Bridgett’s in Maynard, MA and was a school guidance counselor in Boothbay Harbor, Bath and Topsham ME. She made her home in Hampton the past 20 years coming from Massachusetts. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish, a member of the Seacoast Art Association and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. She shared 54 years of marriage with her husband, Denis K. Dugan. In addition to her husband, she leaves three children, John D. Dugan of Naples, Fla., David P. Dugan of Alexandria, VA, Maryanne Dugan Trierweiler of Broomfield, CO, six grandchildren, Chelsea, Patrick, Matthew, Thomas and Anna Dugan, and Zoe Trierweiler and her brother, Paul T. Aswad of Waterford, NY. Visiting hours will be from 2-5 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton. Burial will be at 1 P.M. Tuesday in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush, NY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul, c/o OLMM Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842.
