Carol A. Sullivan

July 23, 1957 - February 5, 2016

Raymond – Carol A. (Davis) Sullivan, 58, of Raymond and formerly of Stratham and Squantum, MA died peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016 with loving family by her bedside at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Carol was born in Cambridge, MA on July 23, 1957, a daughter of the late Frederic G. and Marjorie R. (Walmsley) Davis. She was raised in Squantum and graduated from North Quincy High School with the Class of 1975. Carol married her true love, Daniel P. Sullivan in 1984 and together they had lived in Mansfield, MA, Stratham and just recently relocated to Raymond. She had worked for State Street Bank of Boston for over 20 years and in New Hampshire she was employed at Timberland in their credit department. Carol was very active in Timberland’s community service programs and served as their project manager for the Stevens Park Baseball Field project in Stratham. She was also very active in the Scouting and Baseball programs of Stratham. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and friend of many, with endless energy even in her final days of battling ALS. Always quick to make friends where ever she went, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, even from her hospital bed. She always made the time to stop and talk, especially if you were troubled by something. She will be remembered so fondly by us all as a chatty, silly ray of light”. In addition to Daniel, her husband of nearly 32 years, Carol is survived by her sons, Daniel R. and Patrick D. Sullivan, both of Raymond and her sisters, Linda Allen of Byfield, MA and Jeanne Doherty of Conway. She also leaves her mother-in-law, Marilyn Sullivan of Kissimmee, FL, her nieces and nephews, and her special friend and caregiver, Visiting Angel Julie Rumfelt, who quickly became one of her best friends. Also the many other dear friends, family and associates who helped with her care and support. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Barbara Spear. Carol’s family would like to thank the entire third floor staff at Portsmouth Hospital for their care, love and support through these last months. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 to 4 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Holy Grail Camelot Room, 64 Main St. Epping. Family and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org/, to A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 229, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532, alsfamily.ejoinme.org/donation, to Compassionate Care ALS, P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574, www.ccals.org/you-can-help/donate/ or to an ALS Chapter of one’s choice.
