Hampton – Carole L. Frisbee, 85 of Hampton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 16, 2022. She was born on March 5, 1937, in Marblehead, MA, a daughter of the late Walter H. and Bernice (Foster) Dennis. She was the middle child of five children. Her early years were spent in Marblehead before moving to West Newbury, MA. There she worked hard on her family’s farm and attended school. She graduated from Newburyport High School with the Class of 1955. She lived in northeastern Massachusetts and seacoast New Hampshire all her life. She had three children with first husband, the late Walter E. Coffen. While raising her children, Carole worked as a hairdresser, cashier, baker, and store detective for a grocery store. Later, she became an entrepreneur, opening her own swimwear retail store, Made 4 U Swimwear, in Portsmouth, NH. She lived in Rye, and retired in Hampton, with her late husband, Albert D. Frisbee, who predeceased her in 2000. Carole and Al spent many fun years boating and taking yearly vacations to Aruba. Carole was very friendly and sociable. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She enjoyed going to lunches, bandstand concerts, volunteering, and hosting family dinners. In her younger years, she ballroom danced. Carole knitted many cherished items as gifts. She also enjoyed baking, sewing, and gardening. She attended the United Methodist Church in Hampton. Surviving family members include her children, Walter Coffen and his wife Stephanie Simmons of Hampton, Sandra Brien of North Hampton and Sheryl Mercer of Rye; siblings, Allan Dennis of Haverhill, MA and Marjorie Swanson of Derry; grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, Alana, Nicole, Kristina and Tiffany; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
