Charles R. Eaton Jr.

February 25, 1919 - October 10, 2015

Seabrook - Charles Roscoe Eaton, Jr., 96, of Seabrook, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at his home. He was born in Seabrook on February 25, 1919 and was the son of late Charles R. Eaton and Margaret A. (Brown) Eaton. Charles was a WWII Army veteran and served his country honorably in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. He was the recipient of two Purple Heart Medals for injuries sustained in combat operations. After the Army he worked a clam digger and then at Bailey Manufacturing for many years until his retirement. Charles was in many organizations including the Shriners, the Seabrook Fireman's Association and the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70. He also served as 32nd Degree Mason of the St. James Lodge #102 F. & A.M. of Hampton. Charles is survived by his children; Patricia Diane Chase, Charlene R. Eaton, Charles R. Eaton III and his wife Jean J., and Freddie B. Eaton. He also leaves a niece, Anna Souther, and nephew, Mike Kimone and many cousins, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of many years, Doris R. Eaton who died in 2011, his brother Freddie and his sisters, Daisy Eaton, Clara D. Eaton, and Marjorie Kimone. Family and friends may visit from 12 noon to 1 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rockingham VNA and Hospice. 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
