Dakota F. Chaisson

December 1, 2000 - July 25, 2020

Salisbury, MA – Dakota Francis Chaisson, 19, of Salisbury, died on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born in Greenfield, MA on December 1, 2000, a son of Darlene M. Wickline and Joy W. Chaisson of Salisbury. Dakota lived in Greenfield, MA for the first 6 years of his life before the family relocated to Salisbury in 2008. His passion was riding and he had been riding since he was about 2 years old. He was jokingly called a “motorhead” due to his love of riding and his ability to repair anything with a motor. Dakota passed doing what he loved. Always smiling, Dakota’s bright blue eyes lit up every room he entered. Family and friends were everything to him. When it came to Dakota and his friends, there are no words that can describe the bond they had. If you ever knew Dakota, he touched your heart in one way or another. Whenever someone would speak of him, they would say “he's such a good kid.” That is the impression he would leave with you. In addition to his parents, surviving family members include his sisters, Felicia Emond of Turners Falls, MA; Shelby Chaisson and her fiancé, Bruce April along with their two children, Axel and Ariel April of Salisbury, MA; his sister, Cassey Aguiar of Birmingham, AL; his stepfather, Jeffrey Emond of Turners Falls, MA, as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother Rosalie R. Rosser of Wendell, MA. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, July 31, 2020 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Visitors should be aware that a limited number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, social distancing must be practiced and masks will be required. Services and burial will be private.
