E. Thomas Dumont, Jr.

October 5, 1965 - August 20, 2021

Hampton - E. Thomas (Tom) Dumont Jr., 55, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Friday August 20th surrounded by love with his family by his side. He was born with his twin sister, Maura, in Lowell, MA on October 5, 1965, the son of the late Emile T. and Maureen (Richards) Dumont. Tom was raised in Chelmsford, MA and Hampton Falls, NH, graduating with the Class of 1983 from Winnacunnet High School. He then received his bachelor’s degree cum laude from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. Many know the Dumont family as one centered around the culinary arts and hospitality industry. Tom continued this legacy, pursuing a successful career in hotel management and hospitality, starting with his family’s hotel in Chelmsford. His lifelong passion for hospitality created many rewarding opportunities. From managing partner at Chili’s restaurant to most recently being employed by Performance Food Group, Tom prided himself in taking care of his clients, many of whom became close friends. Tom’s life centered around his family, which was his greatest source of joy. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He volunteered his time coaching Hampton Youth Sports and was always willing to lend a hand with the Winnacunnet Track and Cross Country teams. All that knew him would describe him as a great person and a true gentleman. Everyone loved Tom. Tom married his best friend and love of his life, Lynne (Pelletier) Dumont. Together they raised the prides of his life, their two sons, Cameron and Jacob. Tom and Lynne recently celebrated 28 years of marriage full of love, laughter, and adventure. Tom was most happy being with his wife and boys. They enjoyed camping, skiing, bird watching and celebrating with family. The simplest moments together were his greatest treasures. Tom leaves behind so many that loved him including his loving wife, Lynne, two sons, Cameron and Jacob Dumont both of Hampton, four siblings, his twin Maura Fleming and husband, Jake, of Hampton, Daniel Dumont of Hampton Falls, Christine Dumont of Hampton Falls, Mary Dumont and her wife, Emily French-Dumont, of Groton, MA, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws. They will all miss him greatly. Visiting hours will be from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Burial will follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
