Franklin P. McNally

Exeter – Franklin P. McNally, 78, of Exeter, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was born in Lewiston, ME on May 3, 1943 a son of the late Ralph G. McNally and Marjorie L. (Mason) Harvey. Raised in Ossipee by his uncle and aunt, Elmer “Red” and Ida Belle Kenniston they later moved to Hampton in 1956, where he graduated from Winnacunnet High School with the Class of 1961. He first worked for the former Alrose Shoe Company in Exeter before starting his 38 year career with Phillips Exeter Academy, where he retired in 2003 as dish room supervisor. Frankie was a hardworking man and talented musician. He played guitar and sang for both the Pinecrest Country Boys and Down East Drifters. He enjoyed family excursions (quarter drives), country western music, karaoke, scratch tickets and found a passion for drawing in his retirement. He was a staple at Brookside Market & Deli in Exeter, where he would often be found sitting out front people watching. Frankie shared 60 years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Judy A. (Knowles) McNally. In addition to his wife Judy, surviving family members include his daughter, Anita McNally of Rochester; granddaughter, Wendy Regoulinsky (his Punka who held a very special place in Frank's heart) and her fiancée Meikel Sprauve of Dover, his great grandson, Sebastian Polanco also of Dover and his sister, Pearl Walker of Poland, ME. He was predeceased by his parents and 8 siblings.
