Jean A. Goss Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hampton - Jean A. Goss, 84, of Hampton, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Rockingham Nursing Home in Brentwood after a lengthy illness. She was born June 7, 1931 in Newton, Mass., a daughter of the late Emil and Alice (Williamson) Olson. Jean graduated from Medford, Mass., High School with the Class of 1949. She moved to Hampton in 1958 and served as music director at Middle Street Baptist Church in Portsmouth, was organist and director of the former men's choir at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish in Hampton and was organist at St. James Church in Portsmouth. She also taught piano for many years and served as organist at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home for 25 years. She was the wife of the late Richard T. Goss who predeceased her on May 19, 2003. Family members include her son, Richard T. Goss, Jr. of Candia, her daughter, Karen E. Ranes and husband John of Clearwater, Fla., two grandchildren, Alec H. Goss, Blaine Ballantyne, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her grandson, John Ranes, Jr., her brother, Richard and her sisters, Ruth and Carol. Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
