Jerry Hall Brisson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Stratham - Jerry H. Brisson died peacefully on July 29, 2022 after a long illness. Jerry was born on April 5, 1948 to the late Joseph Alfred and Constance Marion (Searles) Brisson in Rutland, VT, where he was raised. He attended the University of Vermont, becoming a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. It was at UVM that he met his wife, Mary. They enjoyed 48 years of steadfast marriage together. While living in Isle La Motte, VT, Jerry became a Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief and EMT. He attended graduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and launched his career in pharmaceutical Research and Development, specifically in biopharmaceuticals. He first began as a bench chemist at Ayerst Labs in Rouses Point, NY; then moved on to Hazelton Labs in Madison, WI. He worked as a Director at Oread Labs in Lawrence, KS and worked at Otsuka Pharmaceutical in Rockville, MD becoming the Director of Bioanalytical Clinical Pharmacology. Jerry worked at Otsuka Pharmaceutical from 1998 until his retirement in 2016. Jerry and Mary moved to Stratham, NH to be closer to family, including their beloved son, Michael, daughter-in-law Neysa, and grandson Marshall. With his first camera, Jerry discovered his love of photography. He devoted his free time to photography and became a skilled photographer. He was also a lover of all kinds of music and took great joy in discovering and sharing new tunes. Jerry loved his family, co-workers and friends. He found his life's work in pharmaceuticals both fulfilling and enriching. Jerry is predeceased by both of his parents. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Mary (Tabah) Brisson of Stratham, NH; his son, Michael H Brisson, daughter-in-law Neysa Brisson, and grandson Marshall Stansbury of New Durham, NH; his brother, Richard Brisson and sister-in-law Courtney Brisson of Longwood, FL; his sister, Gail Brisson and brother-in-law Armin Heurich of Ithaca, NY; his sister Carol Brisson of Rutland, VT; his step mother Patricia Brisson of Rutland, VT; his sister-in-law Hendrika Sluder and brother-in-law Godfrey Sluder of Kingston, NH; his brother-in-law John Tabah and sister-in-law Nora Tabah of Lake Butler, FL; and, many nieces, nephews and grandnieces. The funeral and burial will be private for family members. Burial will be in the Northfield Falls Cemetery, Northfield Falls, VT at a later date.
