Joy W. Chaisson

March 16, 1963 - October 12, 2020

Salisbury, MA - Joy W. Chaisson, 56, of Salisbury, died on October 12, 2020 from heart problems (Broken Heart). He was born in Athol, MA on March 16, 1963, a son of the late Francis E. Chaisson and Rosalie M. (Robinson) Rosser of Wendell, MA. Joy lived in Wendell, MA for many years of his life before he relocated with his family to Salisbury, MA in 2008. The people who knew Joy knew he was the handyman of the town. He could fix anything that needed to be fixed and build a house from the ground up with very few supplies. He could re-build a dirt bike in one sitting or even take apart a vehicle and put it back together in a blink of an eye. He was a “man of all trades.” Joy was an extremely passionate and kindhearted soul. His bright blue eyes could make you feel at home and give you comfort. Joy’s personality was very goofy, outgoing, and he had the love to many hearts and was very much like his mother in that way. Also like his mother, family meant everything to him, his family was his world. He was always his daughter’s hero, his son’s mentor and his grandbaby’s protector. He will be deeply missed but he will never be forgotten. His daughter’s life mission will be to carry on her brother’s and father’s legacy. Surviving family members including his life partner, Darlene Wickline of Millers Falls, MA, his children, Cassey Aguiar and Dylan Aguiar of Birmingham AL, Felicia Emond, of Turners Falls, MA and Shelby Chaisson of Salisbury, MA. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, Phyllis Ferris, Lorraine, Robert, Frank, Thomas Chaisson and Lola Hess of Wendell MA and his son-in-law, Bruce April of Salisbury, MA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joy was predeceased by his son Dakota F. Chaisson of Salisbury, MA, his brother Donald F. Chaisson of Wendell, MA and his mother in law, Mary Carner of Millers Falls, MA. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, October 16, 2020 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Visitors should be aware that a limited number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, social distancing must be practiced and masks will be required. Services and burial will be private.
