Seabrook – Laura J. “Lady” Eaton, 60, of Seabrook, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA after a lengthy illness. She was born in Newburyport, MA, February 15, 1960 one of 16 children of the late Leonidas and Laura C. (Brown) Eaton. A lifelong resident of Seabrook, Lady attended Winnacunnet High School and later worked for Seabrook Shellfish and Barr & Bloomfield Shoe Company. She enjoyed fishing, rides to the mountains, playing cards and scratch tickets. She leaves her longtime companion of 45 years Herbert Merrill as well as her two sons, Herbert and Keith Eaton all of Seabrook whom she loved dearly. She also leaves her siblings, Charles Marshall, Lillian Knowles, Cheryl Perkins, Nancy Barry, Cathy Mills, Clyde, Stephen, George, Richard, and David Eaton, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings, Byron, Robert and Herbert Marshall, Leonidas Eaton, Jr., and Allen Eaton. Visiting hours will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Wildwood Cemetery, South Main Street, Seabrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Social distancing guidelines to be followed and masks are required. In lieu of traditional remembrances, donations may be made to the family in their time of need.
