May 27, 1928 - July 2, 2020
Seabrook Beach, NH – Lillian H. Wright, 92, of Seabrook Beach, NH and formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2020. She was born in Lawrence on May 27, 1928, daughter of the late Herbert and Jane (Sims) Hurley. Lillian and her husband, James W. Wright, Sr., of Seabrook Beach, shared over 69 wonderful years of marriage together. Lillian was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School with the Class of 1945. She met Jimmy at a dance through a family friend; they were married in 1951, and settled in Lawrence to raise their family. Lillian was a hard-working woman who held a full time job with Western Electric of North Andover while raising her five children. She and Jimmy spent every summer at the family cottage at Seabrook Beach, and built a permanent home on the property in the late 1980s. They were true “Snow Birds” for over 25 years, splitting time between the beach house in Seabrook and their condo in Indiatlantic, Florida. Lillian loved dining out at her favorite restaurants and playing Bingo and Mahjong, but some of her most enjoyable times were spent playing cards and board games with her grandchildren. Family was always the most important part of Lillian’s life. She particularly enjoyed the holiday get-togethers, with the 4th of July gatherings at the beach house being her favorite. In addition to her devoted husband Jimmy, Lillian is survived by her five children, Sharon M. Webb of Haverhill, MA, Nancy E. Sidie and her husband Richard of Haverhill, MA, James W. Wright, Jr. and his wife Carol of Methuen, MA, Jeffrey J. Wright of North Hampton, NH, and Lynne C. Maslanka and her husband, Mark of Northborough, MA. She also leaves her grandchildren, Shannon M. Schultz, Nicholas J. Sidie, James P. Webb, Melissa A. Young, Kristen L. Folk, Lauren E. Webb, Adam J. Wright, Brittany L. Wright, Mitchel W. Maslanka, and Cole J. Maslanka, as well as 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Garrett M. Webb, her son-in-law, John J. Webb, her brothers, Herbert and Bernard Hurley, her sister, Winifred Reynolds. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2020 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Visitors should be aware that a limited number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, social distancing must be practiced and masks will be required.
