Hampton – Marcia Driscoll McDonald of Hampton, beloved wife and cherished mother went home to her lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Henry A. and Mary (Day) Driscoll. A native of Dorchester and Milton, MA, Marcia attended Boston University and was a graduate of the Master Gardeners Program at the University of Connecticut, The Marine Docents Program at the University of New Hampshire and the Computer Operations Program at Quincy College. Marcia was an active participant in the various parishes where she lived including Our Lady’s Sodality, St Vincent de Paul, teaching CCD and being a Eucharistic Minister as well as social activities such as Seacoast Newcomers, sewing & quilting groups and Friendship Circle. She was also active in amateur theater for many years while in Massachusetts. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her husband of 55 years Robert F. McDonald Sr. of Hampton; four caring children, Robert F. Jr. of Stoughton, MA, Jessica and her partner Miguel Glatzer of Philadelphia, PA, Douglas and his wife Kathleen of Scituate, MA, Ian and his wife Michelle of Amelia Courthouse, VA; three beloved grandchildren, Ian Jr. and Paxton of Amelia Courthouse and Benjamin of Scituate. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Malcolm and her brother Pete R. Driscoll. She always kept her faith at the center of her life and leaves behind an enduring legacy of integrity, warmth, friendship, service to others and a great depth of kindness and generosity of spirit. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Rd. (Rte. 1), Hampton, NH 03842. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, June 11, 2018 in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Burial will immediately follow in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hersey St, Hingham, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. If desired, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842 or Mary’s Meals, 75 Orchard Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
