Nancy L. Rand Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rye - Nancy L. Rand, 91, of Rye, passed away peacefully at her home on January 14, 2022. Nancy was born in Boston, MA on November 1, 1930 a daughter of the late Edward and Marion (MacDonald) Thompson. She shared over 46 years of marriage with her late husband, Charles E. Rand, Sr., who died in 1997. She was raised in Braintree, MA along with her late brother, Robert E. Thompson, and graduated from Braintree High School in 1948. Nancy met her husband Charlie while vising family in Portsmouth and the couple married soon after on November 30, 1951. In 1962, Nancy and Charlie welcomed their only son Charles E. Rand, Jr, and in the same year, built their beloved home in Rye, where Nancy remained until her passing. Nancy was a meticulous housekeeper and loved her home and her family above all else. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sandra Rand of Rye and granddaughter Malisa Yakes of Salisbury, MA. She also leaves her great-grandchildren Noah and Hanna. In addition to her parents and her husband, Nancy was predeceased by her son Charles E. Rand, Jr. who died in 2013. All services are private.
