Hampton Beach – Norman R. Lavoie, 77, a longtime resident of Hampton Beach, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, February 5, 2018. Norman has lived at Hampton Beach for the last 48 years where he has been affectionately known as “The Old Salt of Hampton Beach.” He was a hard-working man who took pride in providing for his family. Norman was generous to a fault and would always give of himself to help his family and friends in their time of need. Family meant everything to Norman and his love and positive influence on his children shaped them into the people they are today. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to Cindy (Josselyn) Lavoie, his beloved wife of over 46 years, he leaves his sons, Scott Lavoie of Newburyport, MA and Bret Holmes of Portsmouth, his daughters, Susan Baker and husband Mark of Bethlehem, GA, Heidi Peters of Milton and Tamara Cammett of East Kingston, his brother Robert Lavoie and his sister Joanne Stanton, both of Newburyport and his grandchildren, Joshua, Timothy, Clinton, Jessie, Jacob, Alexa and Zach. Norman also leaves his devoted little sheltie, Delilah. He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Florence (Kelso) Lavoie, his brothers Ronald and Philip and his sisters, Claudette Haley and Sandra Thurlow. All services will be private. Norman loved animals so in lieu of flowers, please donate to the New Hampshire SPCA , PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885, http://nhspca.org/donate-2/ or to the Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820, https://www.cvhsonline.org/donations/.
