Portsmouth – Patricia G. Weichert (formally Bradford), 90, of Portsmouth, died peacefully Friday, February 4, 2022, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born in Detroit, MI March 2, 1931, a daughter of the late Gail Cook and Marie M. Potts. Pat graduated from Michigan State University with her major in journalism. She raised her three children on a beautiful farm in Lee NH where she honed her skills as an artist and a homemaker. She embraced gardening, canning, and making jams and jellies from the farm’s orchard. As an artist she was a former member of the New Hampshire League of Crafts and the Society of Early American Decorating. Following her artistic passion once the children had grown, she started the Tin Lantern, a high-end lamp and lampshade boutique on Ceres Street in Portsmouth. She also was involved in the Portsmouth real estate scene for many years working as a broker. She more recently made her home in Hampton for the past 18 years before moving to Portsmouth last year. She was predeceased by her son Gary Bradford and leaves her daughter Katherine Bradford of Portsmouth, her son Jay Bradford of Falmouth, ME, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. At her request there will be no services but if desired, donations may be made in her name to Beacon Hospice Amedisys Foundation 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Arrangements are by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton.
