Patrick John O'Brien

June 27, 1984 - March 17, 2016

Manchester – Patrick John O’Brien, 31, died suddenly on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Patrick was born in Nashua on June 27, 1984, son of John P. and Anne M. (Leavitt) O’Brien of Rye. He was raised in Boxford, MA, and graduated from Masconomet Regional High School with the Class of 2003. In 2007, Patrick earned his BFA degree in Sculpture from the Maine College of Art in Portland, ME. After he graduated, Patrick pursued numerous artistic endeavors across the country. He was most recently employed as a welder with FWM Inc., of Hudson, NH. Patrick was a kind, socially-conscious, and gentle soul with a great sense of humor. He was a talented artist and sculptor and appreciated the beauty of the world around him. Patrick loved nature, and used it as an inspiration for his art. He lived life on his own terms. Patrick is survived by his parents, John P. and Anne M. O’Brien of Rye, his sister, Meghan O’Brien of Redondo Beach, CA, and his brother, Shaun O’Brien and his wife, Nicole of Eliot, ME. Patrick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Patrick was predeceased by his grandparents, Raymond and Patricia Leavitt and R. Lincoln and Mary O’Brien, all of Chelmsford, MA. Visiting hours will be from 4-7 pm on Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private. Family flowers only, please. The family suggests memorial donations to the Community Toolbox, a nonprofit fix-it program that offers small home repairs to Seacoast neighbors in need, at Community Toolbox, Inc., 135 Mirona Rd., Portsmouth, NH 03801 or online at http://www.commtoolbox.org/donate.html.
