Seabrook – Peter D. Brennan, 79, a Seabrook resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 30, 2021. He was born on September 20, 1942 in Lowell, MA, the son of the late William and Sylvia (Dooley) Brennan. Raised in North Reading, MA, he shared 57 years of marriage with his high school sweetheart and true love, Anne (Perreault) Brennan. Peter was a graduate of the North Reading High School class of 1960. With a degree from Northeastern University, his career took him to New York, Massachusetts, California and back east where he settled in Groton, MA. He began at General Electric in the Corporate Audit Staff, and went on to hold positions at several technology companies, retiring as Chief Financial Officer at Altron Inc in Wilmington, MA . In retirement, he moved to the dream home he designed and built by hand for his family on Ossipee Lake. Pete was first and foremost a dedicated family man who greatly enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He enjoyed tinkering and working on projects, snowmobiling, boating, a cold beer at the sandbar, and watching sports with his sons and grandchildren. Later in life he became an avid reader and was a well-known fixture at the Seabrook Library. In addition to his wife Anne, surviving family members include his children, Peter Brennan Jr. of Lebanon, NJ, Paul Brennan and his wife Suzanne of Stratford, CT, John Brennan of Ashland, MA and Jennifer Gervais and her husband John of Groton, MA; siblings, James Bunker of Ipswich, MA and Sylvia McDonald of Wilmington, MA; grandchildren, Peter III, Parker, David, Daniel, Matthew, Zack, Blake, Cole, Trevor, Jacqueline, Jacob and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Thomas Bunker, Phyllis McCarty, Eleanor Rowntree and William Brennan Jr. Visiting hours will be held from 4 – 6 PM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH with a service immediately following at 6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. A Spring Burial and Celebration of Life will be held in Groton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s name may be made to the Seabrook Library, 25 Liberty Lane, Seabrook, NH 03874.
