Hampton – Phyllis Blake Hoesly, 92, of Hampton, died November 29, 2021. She was born May 9, 1929 in Exeter, the daughter of the late Forest W. and Mildred (Peck) Blake. Mrs. Hoesly was the wife of the late Major James R. Hoesly, USMC, marrying in Hampton on July 26, 1950. She graduated from Hampton Academy with the Class of 1947 and was employed as a bookkeeper for small businesses and a certified public account. She retired at the age of 80. Family members include her son, Richard J. Hoesly and his wife Kathleen of Hampton, her daughter, Elizabeth Provencher of Exeter, five grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and Hollis Blake. Visiting hours will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, followed by a graveside service in the High Street Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Webster at Rye where Phyllis resided since 2017. Please specify that it is intended for Employee Appreciation as the family wishes to thank Webster employees for their compassion, friendship and love for Phyllis.
