Hampton – Rose E. Dickson, 90, a Hampton resident since 1978, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021. She was born in Lawrence, MA on June 14, 1930 a daughter of the late James and Rose (Waxloris) O’Neil. Raised in Lawrence she attended Lawrence High School and being a tried-and-true mill town she went on to work as a cutter for the Jo Gal Shoe Company for 20 years, retiring to help take of her grandchildren. Rose was an avid reader and independent women up until her last months. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting and vacationing with her daughter in Minnesota and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She shared 46 years of marriage with her late husband James A. Dickson Jr. who predeceased her in 1995. Surviving family members include her daughters, Sandra Schulte and her husband Patrick of Deerwood, MN and Karen Toscano and her husband George Toscano Jr of Hampton NH; grandchildren, Kristina Hendrickson, Matthew Schulte and Jennifer and Amanda Toscano; great grandson, Logan Hendrickson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Eileen McDowell and brother, James O’Neil. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will immediately follow at 11:30 in the funeral home. Burial will be in the High Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hampshire Food Bank , 700 East Industrial Park Drive, Manchester, NH 03109.
