Rosemarie Marshall

Rye – Rosemarie Marshall, 88 years young, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 15, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Rodgers) Sterrett. Philly Rose met her husband, the late David O. Marshall, while he was stationed in the Navy. They settled in Rye in the early 1950s near Wallis Sands Beach. Anyone who knew her would say she was one of a kind. She was always energetic and loved to laugh. Rosemarie was very active in her later years. She was a member of the Every Other Tuesday Social Club, the Senior Friends, the Primetime Club and Rye’s Over 55 Club. She also loved to bowl, play cards, line and square dance and travel. She loved her social life and her dear friends, especially Jean. She was the mother of three beautiful children: Rosemary, Debra, and Daniel Marshall and three grandchildren, James Tustin and Kathryn and Alie Sarhanis. She is survived by sisters, Catherine Robinson and Agnes Starry of Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews. Rosemarie was predeceased by her son, David Marshall and husband of almost 50 years and her sister, Lillian Loesch. At Rosemarie’s request, all services will be private at the Central Cemetery, Rye.
