Hampton – Roy A. Duddy, Esq., 73, of Hampton, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was born October 29, 1944 in Waltham, MA the son of the late Francis and Ruth (Peckham) Duddy. Mr. Duddy graduated from Chelmsford High School, Chelmsford, MA, Fitchburg State College in 1966, received his Master of Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1968 and received his Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1979. Attorney Duddy was the sole practitioner at Duddy Law Offices in Hampton from 2010-2017. From 1985-2010 he was attorney and sole proprietor of Duddy Law Offices in Bedford a three attorney law firm. Prior to this he was partner of Kelly and Duddy, P.A. of Bedford, and from 1979-1980 was sole practitioner of Law Offices of Roy A. Duddy in Dublin, NH. His Bar Admissions included New Hampshire State and Federal, Florida, Supreme Court of the US and US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in MA, ME and VT. Additional business experience includes president of Peterborough Ford-Mercury, Inc., from 1983-1990, D&G Investments a NH limited real estate partnership in Bedford from 1980-1991, Duddy Associates a residential and light commercial design/building construction firm in Keene and Dublin from 1969-1984, and RD Associates a general partner real estate brokerage office in Keene from 1969-1975. He also served as assistant professor at Keene State College from 1969-1975 and Springfield Technical Community College in Springfield, MA from 1968-1969. He was a past president of Safari Club International New England-Foundation, past regional vice president Safari Club International, International New England, past director of NH Wildlife Federation, past president of Minute Man Sportsman’s Club, Inc., member of Ducks Unlimited Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Roy Duddy traveled extensively, was an aircraft pilot, an open water diver, an avid hunter. He loved cooking for family and friends. He embodied the New Hampshire State motto. He leaves his wife, Mary (Callahan) Duddy, three children, Cathy White of Stratham, Darren McCollester of Winthrop, MA, Leslie Creus of Rye, NY, sons in laws Carlos Creus and Andy White, four grandsons, Nicholas, Jake, and Santiago Creus, Lucus White, and close family friend Josh Bellman. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen and his sister, Ruth Duddy. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Friends are respectfully invited.
