Shawn T. O'Brien
November 18, 1973 - April 25, 2022
Milton, NH - Shawn Thomas O’Brien, 48, of Milton, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, April 25, 2022 after a 9 year battle with brain cancer. Shawn was born in Lynn, MA on November 18, 1973, the cherished son of Joan E. (Corporon) O’Brien of Lebanon, ME and the late Frederick T. “Tom” O’Brien Jr. Shawn was raised in Salisbury, MA where he attended Memorial School and made lifelong friends. He then graduated from Triton Regional School in 1992. Shawn worked many years, in several different departments, for Middleton Building Supply and could not have asked for a better company to work for. He was a man of few words, most of the time, but always enjoyed being surrounded by those he loved. He had many passions in life, but his top ultimate joys were his children, football, and camping. He leaves behind his daughters, Sydnee O’Brien (19) and Mollie O’Brien (16) and their mother Katie Regan Colby of Milton, his son, Jaxon O’Brien (4) and his mother Jennifer Owens of Salisbury, MA. His children were his entire world and he absolutely loved being their Dad. Shawn also leaves his sister, Jennifer Fortin and brother-in-law Spike Fortin of Salisbury, MA, many aunts, uncles, cousins, his niece and nephew and great nephews, his compassionate companion Nicole Berkland and his many, many friends. It's not who he left behind, but the memories he created for us that matter the most. Sundays will never be the same watching the New England Patriots and drinking Bud Light without him. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, May 2, 2022 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd, Hampton, NH 03842. In honor of Shawn’s passion for the Pats, please feel free to wear your favorite football apparel!
